A Selection of Recent Work
Below is a sampling of projects we've worked on.
Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation Website
Imaginary Forces Website Strategy
Imaginary Forces is an industry leader in the motion graphics world. However, their website was difficult to navigate and didn't properly showcase the high quality of work they produce. We conducted multiple executive and stakeholder meetings to gain a deep understanding of their long-term goals and varying lines of business. The result of the process was detailed documentation to guide the new website development process including: funtional requirements, use-case scenarios, content definitions, and detailed site storyboards. The site is currently being developed by
Mode.
Americans for Peace Now Website
APN publishes a lot of content. They needed a system that would allow them to have granular control over articles, images, and documents to keep their readership up-to-date on events in the Middle East. Together with Marc Katcshner, we designed and built a custom content management system to control nearly every aspect of the site.
Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood Donor and Contribution Management System
BGCH is a traditional nonprofit in that they depend on fundraising and contribution efforts to stay operational. Their donors are their lifeblood. It follows that being able to understand and track where and whom money is coming from is crucial to the well-being of the organization. We built them a custom system to track donors, contributions, proposals, and campaigns along with extensive reporting capabilities - completely based on their requirements. More importantly, the system required very little training and no in-house resources to maintain.
American Film Institute: Films Catalog Intranet
AFI is world-renowned for it's contributions to the art of film, television, and digital media. We helped build and maintain their enormous online database of filmographic information, including systems to manage distribution rights and clearances. Multi-user permission levels allowed various departments different levels of access.
JBG Photo Website and Workflow Strategy
The Janet Botaish Group syndicates some of the most prestigious photographers in the world. The staff regularly interacts with publicists, photo editors, art buyers and agents to provide photo asset delivery and information. They knew their website was being underutilized in this process, but not sure what to do about it. We came in to evaluate their current workflow and find ways to improve upon it. The project included extensive user interviews with staff to fully understand the business processes and a trail of documentation to track all discoveries. Among them, most notable were some key marketing enhancements to complete their sales cycle online. We finished by conducted a detailed vendor and software analysis and eventually selected a partner to develop the new site.
Citizens of Humanity Website
Nice Footwear Website
The folks at Nice Footwear have two distinct product lines. They wanted each line to have its own website. Along with
David Salmassian Design's front-end work, we built a simple yet powerful content management system that allows them to update both sites easily from one place. Staff can update news, events, showcase photos, products and product images, and collect names for their mailing list.
Blaise Smith Music Website
Blaise is a local singer-songwriter looking for exposure. He's one KCRW play away from blowin' up. His manager wanted a site that Blaise could update on his own with all the components of a solid band site: news, tour dates, diary, links, photos and more. The result is a clean looking web presence that focuses attention on the multi-talented artist - Blaise Smith.
Letop Efficiency Tools and Site Enhancements
Letop is a children's clothing manufacturer and retailer based in San Francisco. Under the direction of Pea.Brain design, we were approached to build a store locator for their website so customers could easily find the nearest of the 3000+ Letop retailers. The list of stores also changed frequently, so they needed an easy way to update their store data at any time, from anywhere. They ended up saving so much time with their new tool, company growth was inevitable and we added an easily updatable Jobs section to the website.
Unified Film Organization Production System
Look Locations Website and Portfolio Management
When Push Creative wanted to spin-off the location scouting portion of their production business, they came back to us for help. The results was an ultra-clean and professional looking front-end website with a robust back-end to manage their massive amounts of location pictures. The system allows them to create multiple galleries per client and enable clients private login to view location shots online and provide direct feedback. Very slick.
